Ingredients:

Dough

  • 1/2 cup white flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 tbsp water

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 cup white flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 eggs

Preparation:

Dough

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix and roll dough into ball, then divide into 2 balls.
  • Pat down the dough into two long shapes approximately 12 inches long and 3 inches wide.
  • Place onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Filling

  • Mix margarine and water in saucepan.
  • Bring to boiling.
  • Add almond extract, then remove from heat.
  • Add flour
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Divide into half.
  • Smear one half of the filling on each half of dough
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
